My apologies for being so quiet over the last year…some of you may know that I have had a few health scares…eventually tests revealed I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis…an autoimmune disease, where you literally destroy your own thyroid cells. Fortunately it can be regulated with replacement hormone drugs, but it has really taken until now, a year later, to get myself back on track.
I have spent all my time trying to work out how to stop it getting any worse, and to reverse the decline. The big problem with any auto-immune disease (of which there are many) you are likely to acquire more of them if you carry on doing what you have always been doing. This is the reason I am writing about the state of my health…so that I can help you readers to avoid this happening you and help those who already have an auto-immune condition to manage it better.
